「5つの視展 －日本画 これから－」
　この度、上野の森美術館ギャラリーにて展覧会「5つの視展 －日本画 これから－」を開催致します。
　本展は現代日本画壇の新たな担い手として嘱望され、独自の世界の創造に情熱を注ぐ新進気鋭の若手作家たちが挑む人物、風景、動物、静物などのさまざまなジャンルに焦点を当てます。
　この展覧会は、静的な淡々とした空間表現を反復するイメージで模索する海東祐子（1985－）、相撲を通し“大和心”を世界に伝え続ける木村浩之（1975－）、野性味のある動物の心を捉えようとする佐藤龍生（1983－）、“何もない風景”を創作の源泉とする髙橋まり子（1983－）が模索する日本画の新たな可能性と行方を探ろうとするものです。

[Five Perspectives on the Future of Nihonga]
It is an honor to be able to present the exhibition Five Perspectives on the Future of Nihonga at the Ueno Royal Museum.
This exhibition focuses on a variety of genres, including human figures, landscapes, animals, and still lifes, highlighting up-and-coming young artists who passionately create distinctive worlds, and who have the promise to become new leaders on the contemporary Nihonga stage.
Each of the young artists in the show is contributing to the development of new possibilities and directions for Nihonga—Yuko Kaito (b. 1985) explores images of iterations of still, serene representations of space, Hiroyuki Kimura (b. 1975) communicates Japanese sensibilities throughout the world through sumo wrestling, Ryusei Sato (b. 1983) attempts to capture the spirit of wild animals, and Mariko Takahashi (b. 1983) finds a wellspring of creation in simple, natural landscapes.
